For me, it’s simple: I just want to make instruments feel alive again—and help players fall back in love with their guitars, one setup at a time. - Robert W.
About AMP’d
AMP’d Guitars & Coffee was built for players who like their gear dialed in and their spaces lived in.
We’re not a sterile showroom or a factory repair line. We’re a hands-on guitar shop with a loud soul, a deep respect for craft, and a coffee bar that keeps the lights on and the conversations going. Every instrument that comes through our doors gets real attention — precision setups, clean fretwork, solid electronics — the stuff that actually matters when you plug in and play.
Our showroom is intentionally curated. No walls of filler, no junk for the sake of inventory. Just guitars, amps, and gear we believe in — pieces with personality, history, and attitude. Whether it’s your first guitar, your daily workhorse, or something you’ve been meaning to bring back to life, we treat it like it deserves to be played, not babysat.
The space itself feels like the best kind of basement hangout — part workshop, part coffee spot, part musician’s living room. Grab a drink. Linger. Talk gear. Try something loud. This is a place to slow down, get inspired, and reconnect with why you started playing in the first place.
No ego. No gatekeeping. Just good gear, good coffee, and instruments that feel right in your hands.
Play louder. Stay longer. Get AMP’d.

Partner / Guitar Tech / Buyer / Emergency Barista
After more than twenty years in the corporate world, I turned a lifelong obsession with guitars into a full-time craft. What started as dialing in my own instruments grew into years of setups and fine-tuning for friends and local players.
At AMP’d, I handle precision setups, fretwork, and clean, reliable electronics—the work that makes a great guitar feel right. I also help curate our guitar and gear selection, working alongside my partners and directly with manufacturers and suppliers to bring in instruments and equipment we genuinely believe in.
I’m not a touring tech or a celebrity repair guy—and that’s intentional. I care about the guitars in our community: the ones played at open mics, local stages, and living rooms. AMP’d is a place where music, coffee, and craftsmanship meet, and where you’re always welcome to talk gear and see the bench in action.
After years behind a desk, this shop is a full-circle moment—doing what I love every day and helping players reconnect with their instruments.

Kelly W.
Partner / Vision Architect / Coffee Instigator
Kelly Wilson has had a long-standing dream of opening a hybrid coffee shop — an idea that dates back to college, when she imagined a coffee bar connected to a laundromat. After growing up in her parents’ small business and working in retail, that dream took a backseat to a career in corporate IT and startup consulting.
Kelly met her husband Robert in Orlando’s downtown music scene in the early 2000s. The two later went on to consult together, helping biotech startups get built — or rebuilt. Music was always central, even as careers evolved. Kelly played guitar in her twenties, while Robert eventually dove head-first into playing, repairing, and setting up guitars.
When COVID left Orlando with little more than a big-box music store, they saw an opportunity for something better. Robert’s obsession with guitars met Kelly’s original coffee-shop vision, and AMP’d Guitars & Coffee came to life — a space designed for community, creativity, and hanging out.
